Tsugumori overlooks the Yatsugatake mountain range and Saku Plain, and is surrounded by highland vegetable fields. It is a place that will captivate you in the early morning, at dusk, and with its night view and starry sky. We want you to fully experience this excitement and the changing seasons, so we have created accommodation on the second floor of the cafe, limited to one group per day.

The Tsugumori site covers approximately 6,200 square meters. It was developed by hand, without the use of heavy machinery, leaving the trees intact after 50 years of neglect. Even now, the site is being developed little by little with the help of local residents, volunteers, and staff. The site is dotted with gardens, benches, and sculptures. Please feel free to enjoy the ever-changing Tsugumori.

Until I started living here, I never knew that at 4am in the middle of summer, headlights would shine on the fields and fresh broccoli would be harvested. You can look out over the Yatsugatake mountain range while experiencing the daily lives of the people. And at night, the city lights are soothing to the soul. Tsugumori is not located deep in nature, but it is a place where you can face yourself and reflect as an extension of your daily life.

Part of the interior is made of old wood reclaimed from an old house built before the war. The Tsugumori-style space, created with both old and new wood and furnishings that blend Japanese and Western styles, is available for exclusive use by one group per day. There is also a raised space where you can lie down and rocking chairs, allowing you to spend a relaxing time with your loved one.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Eating out is an option, but we hope you will enjoy simple meals made with local vegetables and ingredients. Rather than just a place to sleep while visiting tourist spots, we want this to be a place where you can enjoy the scenery and local culture and experience a little bit of life here.

Tsugumori Stay is located at the northeastern gateway to Komoro City, with easy access to Karuizawa in about 20 minutes and Takamine Kogen, where you can enjoy mountain climbing, hiking, and skiing, in about 25 minutes. Komoro city, just 10 minutes away, retains the atmosphere of a post town on the Hokkoku Kaido road, but with new restaurants and retail stores, making it an appealing place to stroll around. The city, which has an elevation difference of 600m to 2,000m, is dotted with unique hot spring facilities, providing a place of relaxation for residents and visitors alike.
