Story
I first laid eyes on this view, stretching from the foot of Mt. Asama to Saku Plain and further on to the Yatsugatake mountain range, some 30 years ago, around the time the Asama Sunline opened.
At that moment, I thought to myself, "Someday, I want to live while gazing at this scenery. And I want to create a place where people can relax." It was a small dream I kept to myself for a long time.
In 2018, one of those dreams, "living amidst this scenery," came true. As I was healed by this landscape every day, my desire to "share this wonderful experience with many others" grew stronger.
Later, through a series of fortunate connections, I had the opportunity to develop the woodland adjacent to my home. Over two years, starting in 2020, with the help of many friends and local residents, we preserved necessary trees and transformed it into a pleasant forest where light and wind could flow through.
This newly created woodland was named "Tsugu Mori" (継ぐ杜), meaning "succeeding forest," with the wish that it would be "a place that everyone can connect to the future."
Then, in 2023, TSUGUMORI, consisting of a café and accommodation alongside a garden, was born.
I would be delighted if visitors could feel the breeze, look up at the sky, and experience the comfort of this place while enjoying their time as they please.

Komoro City in Nagano Prefecture, where Tsugumori is located, is located on the southern slope of Mount Asama, and the terrain with its varying altitudes gives the landscape a diverse and attractive look.
The area is known for its high rate of sunny days, and the mountainous area in the north of the city in particular sees many sunny days as the surrounding mountains block out clouds and fog, making it a great location for beautiful blue skies and sunshine.
