The Tsugumori site is home to a variety of trees, flowers, and creatures. This time we will introduce the "Shiurizakura".

Yokokawa Yuko has been involved in the construction of Tsugumori since its inception. We spoke to her about the process and her thoughts behind it.

At Tsugumori, we are proceeding with the development while preserving as many trees as possible. However, the red pine trees had been attacked by pine bark beetles and were dying, so we cut them down in November of last year. We are also planning to install a wood stove in August, so we used the cut red pine trees for firewood.

Tsugumori's owner, Junko Tsuchiya, has written about the circumstances that led her to create Tsugumori, her vision for the future, and her feelings for this land.
